Stay tuned this week for Oscar postmortems...

I'll be spreading my reactions to last night's Oscar ceremony out over the next seven days, including a rundown of the winners, a rundown of the show, and of course my annual top ten list of personal pet peeves and highlights of the season.

But my quick take is this: The season was remarkable, the show was unremarkable. No surprises to be had, but that's not really a terrible thing.
